With a new season of dance classes starting I thought I would take a moment to tell you all the fun we have coming up and share what we have been doing. It has been a great summer with the Steel Days Parade and Tea with the Queen. One of our own dancers here at Leaps and Bounds Dance won second attendant for Miss Little American Fork.
Summer is a good time for just dancing for the joy of it, which is what we have been doing. Heres a glimpse at the upcoming activities:
1) Several new classes are starting mid August and our own Miss Katie is back in business after two back surgeries and a gall bladder surgery (talk about taking care of business all at once!)
2) Auditions for the performing company tryouts are this coming Satureday, August 6. The parent meeting is at 9:30 AM followed by auditons from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Everyone who tries out will be in one of the companies. The girls that were in the performance companies last year had a blast, made good friends and got to have more performing opportunites.
We invite your dancer to come and participate this year. We also have a performance in January. This year it is Seasons, and there are many opportunities for company members to show their skills and shine with solo's and duet's.
3) We are starting our 5th year as a studio this fall. We will be having a celebration at some point and our recital in the end of May 2023 will be about celebrating Leaps and Bounds Dance Academy. We are so happy to have been able to bring dance at a reasonable price with quality dance education to all the surrounding communities.
We hope you are having a wonderful summer full of swimming, playing., vacations, and fun foods like raspberries, peaches, watermelon, fresh from fruit stands. We look forward to seeing you soon if you have not registered for class yet. We have many new teachers, and a lot of styles to choose from. This year we have extended offerings in Acro which we started last year. We have advanced ballet classes, hip hop, tap and jazz as well. We also offer adult classes.
