I have made my New Years resolutions and hope I can keep them. I am sure you have as well. One of my New Years resolutions is to try and lead with an air of positivity to everyone I come in contact with. I love chatting with the parents at the studio, they are such a great bunch of people. I hope that I have the opportunity to try out this positivity here so that I am thinking smiles, joy, and good things that will go out into the universe. If we all practice that positivity this year, perhaps it will make a better world all around! Oh, yeah, and there is that resolution about losing those 10 pounds too! Dance can help with that for sure, we have fun adult classes.
The Carnival of the Animals is coming quickly, and if you have not already purchased tickets you will definitely want to! Our Performing Companies and our other dancers that chose to participate are working hard and excited to put on the show for you. Dates are Friday, January 28, 2022 at 6:00 PM and January 29, 2022 at 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM. Tickets are $5.00 online and $6.00 at the door.
Some of our students signed up in August to participate along with our Performing Groups. It is a fun ballet, and a good family activity. Anyone can come and we hope you will. Not only is it a fun family activity but also an opportunity to see what your child can get involved in next year.
We will be auditioning for the Performing Company for next year in August 2022. It is an opportunity to participate in this type of performing experience. We will also invite all of our students to participate at an extra cost if they would like to. Keep in mind that this performance will always happen in January. Keep in the back of your mind the tryout month so that if your child would like to participate they can audition. Every child makes the company, but the auditions let us know how to place them. We will be advertising this later for sure!
January is a busy month when we are learning all the steps we will be incorporating into our dances that we will start to learn in February for our annual June Recital. We will have many fun costumes, and music. The theme this year is Musicals, and who does not love the music from the many musicals that have been produced over the years. If you have anyone interested in signing up for dance, this month in January would be a good time to encourage them to take classes.
