Meghan Stewart

Meghan is a trained and experienced dancer of 17 years, specializing in classical ballet and pointe. She also has experience in jazz, contemporary and lyrical. She began her dance training at the young age of 4, at Corona Dance Academy in Corona, California training under Rosemary McCarter, Elizabeth Huebner, and Amy Chaffin. She auditioned for and was accepted to multiple summer ballet intensives and attended the Joffrey Ballet School Summer Intensive in NYC. She also attended several summers at the Brigham Young University Ballet Summer Intensive. She was a member of the Santiago High School Dance Team winning both the USA national championship in 2013, 1st runner up grand national championship in 2014 and CADTD state championship in both 2013 and 2014. While on the team she attended multiple master classes in San Francisco, Los Angeles and at her local studio. In 2014 she auditioned for and was accepted into BYU as a Dance Major, where she continued her training in ballet, pointe, pas de deux ballet variations and jazz. She was a member of the BYU Ballet Showcase company in 2015 and 2016. While in the company she performed in multiple performances as well as in the ballet Alice and Wonderland. In 2016 she attended the Regional Dance America National Choreography Intensive in Tallahassee, Florida on scholarship from BYU. Ultimately, she decided to pursue a degree in Sports Medicine/Athletic training and received her Bachelor of Science in 2018. Meghan currently works in her field of sports medicine, teaches injury prevention classes to dancers, and loves teaching dance in studios around Utah Valley.
