I hope you are all having an awesome summer....I love the 4th of July, especially the fireworks. In fact I hit every event that has fireworks all summer from Draper to Pleasant Grove and everywhere in-between. Eat a little juicy watermelon, get wet at a splash pad and do it all over again on Pioneer Day!

Some fun things at the studio to take note of:

That was the first line of a Beatles song I knew growing up as a kid, and to me it epitomizes summer. We are sending out good energy into the universe every day that the rain is behind us and summer is on the way! I love summer, it has so many great things. Lazy days with no school, swimming, watermelon, vacations, corn on the cob, 4th of July fireworks, snow cones, flowers, ice cream, park swings, picnics, visits to the beach, and morning dance classes, yeah!

If you have not signed up for a summer dance class we still have room and would love to have you come join us. It is good to keep taking dance during the summer to make sure that all those wonderful dance moves your child has perfected are maintained in their memory. Just give us a call or get online and sign your child up!

And just for fun, (and to keep your little one busy) we have summer camps for them. We will learn a dance, have a craft, a snack and fun games. They are three day camps, on Wed, Thur, and Friday and are $50.00 per person for each camp. Anyone can sign up, they don't have to be a current dance student. Come join us!

In order to make sure you have a spot in class for fall, our Fall Registration is online now. Just a reminder, we do not charge a registration fee, which most dance studios do. This is just our way of saying thanks for sharing your dancer with us. We are adding new teachers next year, and many additional classes, so come take a look.

Another great thing about summer in American Fork is Steel Days. Come sign up for $5.00 to ride/walk in the Steel Days parade with Leaps and Bounds Dance Academy. The fee includes a Leaps and Bounds Dance Academy Tee Shirt. You can go on the parent portal to sign up, stop by, or send us an email with sizes. The more little dancers handing out candy, the merrier.

We are getting more and more excited about our first annual recital. It has been a busy, exciting year and our dancers have worked hard and learned a LOT. A few reminders:

* Payment on the balance of your child's account must be received by June 12, 2019 for them to be

able for them to participate in the recital on June 15, 2019.

* We still have plenty of tights in all sizes, both ballet pink and white. They are $8.00 a pair, and we

have purchased them from a dance clothing retailer, so they are high very high quality and they

cheaper than either Walmart or Target.

* Picture orders are due, and must be paid for before June 6, 2019. We will not be taking orders

and/or money on the day of the recital.

*Be sure and check your parent packet for what times your little dancer has pictures and rehearsal.

There is tons of information in your parent packet, including hair styles, tips and tricks for makeup,

etc, so be sure to read through it

*We want ALL of our students to have pictures taken, even if you are not purchasing them for

yourselves. We cannot wait to decorate our walls with all our wonderful dancers from this year!

Have a great summer!

Welcome to warm, sunny May (we hope!) It may be cold snowy May with the tulips peeking through, but we love May anyway. May is the month right next to recital. We are so excited that our first annual recital is coming. I have been watching these little girls try on costumes last week and look so adorable, that I can't wait!

Here are items to note:

Costumes will go home the week of May 20, and they SHOULD NOT be worn before the recital. After that they can have fun with their costumes, and put them on to perform for you at home anytime their cute little hearts desire. They even have their music out on the parent portal for later performances for mom, dad, brothers, sisters, relatives, the next door neighbor and the cat and dog. :)

The recital will be held at the Valentine Theater, 893 East 9th North, American Fork, UT on Saturday, June 15, 2019. Pictures and the rehearsal will be held that day as well. Remember that rehearsal is mandatory, and that we very much want your child to be a part of the group photo even if you do not want to purchase pictures. We plan on posting those group pictures in our studio to celebrate our awesome students with the world.

We will be handing out a parent recital packet this week, May 6 thru May 10. The parent recital packet is also on our website if you prefer it that way. If your child can't be in class for some reason you may want to stop by and pick this up. It is full to the brim with information, tips, and times. You will want to read through it at least once and then you will be a dance mom pro!

The last page of the recital packet is a form that you will fill out and turn in if you wish to purchase pictures. The form and your payment are due before June 6. You can turn your form in at the desk, and pay either through the parent portal or at the front desk. We will not be taking orders, or money at the photo shoot. We have a professional photographer who has won many awards, and is really good with kids who will take the dance pictures.

We are selling high quality dance tights at the studio for $8.00. You may want to purchase a pair to go along with your child's costume. They are at the studio's cost, so it is an awesome deal. They can be purchased from our Office Manager at the front desk. We have a wide variety of sizes in both Ballet Pink, and White. Look in your recital packet for the color your child will be wearing with their costume.

We will post our Fall Schedule in the coming week or so, look for it! We are hoping to be able to grow in our second year and toward that end we will be adding on a number of different classes. Our $10.00 referral bonus will apply to anyone who refers a new student AND they sign up for class.

Also, there are still openings in summer classes and camps. Your child can keep up their dance skills all summer long, plus have some fun doing it. Keeping the kids busy during the summer keeps them from getting bored and helps mom get a break :)
